The setting is incredible and good, adjacent to restaurant on Sunday after 6pm, bar and restaurant areas and Never castle.

Very rustic old building. The room was very modern and clean. Very good restaurant with pub.

Very small windows in the room. Directly at the ventilation of the kitchen. Until 10 o'clock and from 7 o'clock it was very loud.

Fairly clean and fantastic place with very nice staff in his management with the staff. All in all marvellous location, just off the Pilgrims Way, and large conferences.

Had a lovely stay for one night, everything was good. The unit we got was well renovated and reasonably large with copper bath in the bedroom, bathroom and free toiletries. London Gatwick airport was hardly 27 minutes away by car.

We had a really lovely stay for one night. The staff were amiable and the location was fantastic. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room had a particularly nice view. The hotel was within a short walk to the bar/restaurant, large conferences, and The Grasshopper Inn Westerham. Also, staying within 15 minutes’ walk from National Trust Nature Preserve was wonderful.

The hotel decor was beautiful as was the room. Lovely bed linen. Breakfast very well cooked and presented but not buffet. You had to order each item you wanted eg : juice , cereal, toast etc as well as your cooked breakfast, but this wasnt explained. I was asked for my cooked order only, so missed the other things , I had assumed toast etc would arrive as standard. I would imagine the hotel is very good for functions , weddings etc as very beautiful but not any good for business users as communication systems dont work (wifi .mobile signals etc)

A Triumph of Style over Substance. Wifi didnt work (apparently it " has been like it for a fews days") , no mobile signal whatsoever (apparently this is normal for most networks), The phone in my room also didnt work. Reception tried to put my husband through several times and he couldn't hear my voice. I also couldn't dial out . Fire alarm went off 3 times in one hour at 3am, the night guard accused us of "you must be smoking in the room", none of us smoked. The tap in the bathroom appeared to be broken, scalding hot or freezing cold ,the mixer didnt work. The shower although looking very stylish was a rain fall shower ( not very effective for hair washing etc) and also the dials were on the end wall so you had to stand under the shower to reach the controls to switch it on . Frankly dangerous since I was scalded whilst sorting out the temperature . My room was made up with wedding mugs and someone's speech had been left behind. All in all a very bad night's sleep and waste of time and money staying over close to the office to get some work done .

We had a fabulous time staying at this charming hotel in Maidstone. The building itself is impressive, with a rich history that the young barman was more than happy to share with us. The comfortable bed and spacious walk-in shower made our stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the included breakfast was a great perk, with a variety of cereals, tea, coffee. The staff in the breakfast area were lovely and made us feel right at home.

While we had a great overall experience, there were a few minor downsides. The corners of the bed stuck out, which caused us to bang our knees when entering the room from the bathroom.
